In Paphos you must try the plump olives, famous halloumi or feta cheese, extraordinarily fresh fruit and wonderfully hearty meat dishes. Moussaka and fresh seafood adorns Cypriot cuisine, whilst strong and flavorful Cypriot coffee makes a fantastic end to a meal. A family favourite waiting for you to discover is Pastitsio (or Pastichio), a more-ish macaroni bake with a layer of ground beef and a creamy topping of bechamel sauce. The kids won’t have a problem wolfing down a portion of this Greek classic, and if they do, it will be impossible to refuse a large helping of ice-cream from a seaside vendor.
