Situated on the slopes of the Troodos Mountains in the heart of the Pitsillia region, the month of May sees the village of Agros come to life with festivities that pay homage to the mighty rose that villagers use to produce rose oil, rosewater, liqueur and brandy. In May, you have the chance to visit local workshops and learn all about the distillation of roses. They will also be a rose exhibition, traditional products to buy, and folk dancing with lots of music. What’s more, it’s all free for the public to enjoy.
